The declaration of rights and grievances was an act that taxes on british colonies without formal consent was unconstitutional. It importance shows how even if you were still british you were free once in America and had the same rights as the people did here and where aqual as them. -
Intolerable Acts
They were laws passed by the British after the Boston tea party. The laws were made to punish the people in Massachusetts. They were taxed more heavy and treated harsher. The Articles of Confederation was made by all 13 colonies and it was the first constitution. It had all the basic stuff and had the main function of the government.
