Vicente Guerrero ended slavory in his country. Although, Texas thought this was a warning. -
Law of April 6th, 1830
The law did 5 Main things. They were 1. authorized loan to finance cost of transporting colonists to Texas
2. opened coastal trade to foreigners for 4 years
3. provided for federal commissioner of colonization to supervise empresario contracts in conformity with general colonization law
4. forbade further introduction of slaves into Mexico
5. intended to suspend existing empresario contracts . -
