    This act would stop from people smuggling sugar into the colonies.The act stated nothing with sugar may be produced with Great Britain sugar.

    This act was passed to tax the colonies. The Stamp Act stated anything made with or on paper must have a stamp or the colonists would be taxed.

    This act was passed to protect from threats. The Quarter Act stated to protect the British colonial soldiers their paychecks would be cut in half.

    The Tea Act was passed because parliament wanted to help the East India company. This act states that British colonies or plantation in america the whole of the duties of customs payable upon the importation of such teas.

    This act was passed to stop from smuggling illegal items to the colonies. The Townshend Act stated that any British soilder could invade a house and look around for smuggled goods.l
