    The Stamp Act
    The fisrt stepping stone on the road to freedom. This act was passes to get some extra cash from the colonists, but was in direct violation of no taxation with out representaion. It was the fisrt on many acts to do so. And the folks at home didnt like it too much.
  • Boston Massacre

    Boston Massacre
    During a protest in well, Boston, thingsgot a little crazy, so the Brittish military opened fire into a crowd of Bostonians, killing just a few people. But thid was blown up to seem like genocide to the rest of the colonies, spreading anti-Engligh feeling through out the land.
  • Boston Tea Party

    Boston Tea Party
    The taxation of tea was one of the many way the Crown was bleeding the colonist of their hard earned cash. So so once again ,the people of Boston spit in the face of the King by dressing as Indians and boareding English ships and dumped the tea into the harbor.
  • The Intolerable Acts

    The Intolerable Acts
    Well the KIng wasnt a big fan of having his tea dumped into the Boston harbor, parlaemet passed a slew of acts to quell the spirits of the colonies with more taxation, this only mad everyone hate them more.
  • The First Continental Congress

    The First Continental Congress
    In responce to the Intorerable Acts, the colonies decided to meet and discuss their options to deal with them. They decided to send the King a petition, which he refused to comply with, this was a mistake, a big one.
  • Second Continental Congress

    Second Continental Congress
    With the failure of the first one of these, they were quite fed up witht the king, so they called another to get the job done right. This one ratified the Declaration of Independence as well as the Articles on confederation, as well was acting as the government untill the Articles were put to use.
