The New Yorker Magazine 1930s
The New Yorker Magazine’s mission in the 1930s was entertainment. Harold W. Ross, the founder, wanted to create a magazine that had more sophisticated humor than its contemporaries. Its target audience were educated middle-aged New Yorkers who were in the upper-middle class. The magazine would publish short stories, poems, and art work among other things. -
