    RECOVERY:
    Directed by Hugh Johnson, it was an attempt to guarantee reasonable profits for business and fair labor regulations for workers.. It helped industries set codes for wages, hours of work, levels of production and prices of finished goods. It also gave workers right to organize and bargain.

    Civilian Conservation Corps
    RELIEF:
    The CCC employed about 3 million men between 18 and 25 years old to work on projects that benefited the public. Men were able to keep 20-25% of the their money and the rest is sent back to their families. This helped unemployment and conservation.

    RECOVERY:
    The AAA protected farmers from price drops by providing crop subsidies to reduce production. It also provided farmers with educational programs to teach methods of preventing soil erosion.

    The TVA was created to generate electric power and control floods in a seven state region around the Tennessee River Valley. It created many dams that provided electricity and gave job opportunities to help unemployment.

    REFORM:
    The FDIC provided insurance to personal banking accounts up to $5,000. This preserved and promoted public confidence in the U.S financial system.

    The WPA guaranteed a worker's right to join a union and a union's right to bargain collectively. It outlawed business practices that were unfair to labor workers.

    The PEA provided federal loans for the installation of electrical distribution systems to serve isolated rural areas of the United States.

    Fair Labor Standards Act
    REFORM:
    This act regulated minimum wages and maximum hours for workers involved in interstate commerce and outlawed labor by children under sixteen. The exclusion of agricultural, service, and domestic workers meant that many blacks, Mexican Americans, and women who were concentrated in these sectors did not benefit.
