Genghis Khans early life
Genghis Khan grew up on the cold plains of Mongolia. His real name was Temujin which means " finest steel." Genghis's father was yesugai, and he was khan of is tribe. A khan is like a chief. -

Marriage
When only nine years old Temujn was sent to his future wife's bortes, tribe. After a few years however he discovered that his father was poisoned, so he returned home to become khan ( chief.) -
Betrayel
When Temujin returned home he discovered that his family was betrayed. Him and his family were kicked out of the tribe, and barely survived the harsh winter. Another warrior took up role of khan. -
The army
Over the years Temujin built his own tribe. He married Borte and formed an alliance with her tribe. He was a fearsome fighter and the people of Mongolia admired his courage. His army of warriors grew until he had enough warriors to take on the tartars. -
The fight against tartars
When Temujin fought tartars he showed no mercy. He killed there army and executed there leaders. Temujin conquered his enemy tribes and was named Genghis khan or "ruler of all." -
Death
The death of Genghis khan is unknown. Some say he fell off his horse and died from his injuries.
