Illness
When she was 19 months old, Helen became very ill and lost her sight and hearing. -
Teacher
Anne Sullivan arrived at the Keller house to teach Helen. -
Massachusetts
Anne took Helen to the Perkins Institute for the Blind in Watertown, Massachusetts. -
New York
Anne also took Helen to the Wright-Humason School for the Deaf in New York. -
Back to Massachusetts
Anne and Helen returned to Massachusetts so that she could attend The Cambridge School for Young Ladies
