Muhammad is born on 570 in the town of Mecca which is a mountain town which is on a desert plateau in western Arabia. -

Abd Allah died
Muhammad was his dads first and only son, so when he died his mother had to take him in. -

Visiting the relatives
When Muhammad was 5 his mother took him to see his relatives and his fathers grave in a town called Yathrib, an oasis town a couple hundred miles north of Mecca. -

God speakings
Muhammad ahd began to make long retreats to a mountain cave outside town. Muhammad was visited by an overpowering presance and he was told to recite the word of such beauty and force to gradually attribute them to God. And it was several years before Muhammad talked about this experience to people outside his family. -

FINALLY!
Muhammad finally tells outsiders about his speakings to god.These words were gathered verse by verse, to later become Qur'an, Islam's sacred sripture. Then late Muhammad and his followers were first ridiculed, then persecured and physically attacked for leaving the traditinal Mecca's tribal ways. Later Muhammad's wife and uncle both died, and finally the leaders of Mecca attempted to assassinate Muhammad. -

Travel to build a new community
Muhammad and his few followers left Mecca, ending up in a oasis town named Yathrib, there they built Medina, which was the first city of propfet. Muhammad lived there for the next six years, durring which he was building the first Muslim community, and slowly gathering more and more people to his side. -

War
The Meccans didn't like the sucess that Muhammad was getting. Early little battles lead to three major battles over the next three years. Muhammad and his army won th first, the Battle of Badr, March 624. They lost the second battle the Bettle of Uhud, March, 625. and outlasted the third the Battle of the Trench and the Siege of Medina, April 627. In march 628 a treaty was signed between the two sides. -

Turning tables
By now the balance of power is focused on a "new" but not new group, shifted away from the Meccans, now the power is pointed twards Muhammad and the Muslims. Mecca, seeing the power shift, joined the Muslims and Muhammad. -

Final actions
Muhammad went to Mecca one last time to preform one last pilfrimage where tens of thousands of Muslims joined him. After the pilgramige he returned to Medina one last time where three months later and on June 8th, 625 Muhammad died there, after a breif illness. -
Another dead relative
Muhammad's grandfather died when he was about age 8, so he started to stay with his uncle. -
New Wife
When Muhammad was in his his early twenty's he entered employment of a wealthy Meccan merchant, who was a widow named Khadija bint Khawalayd. Then when Muhammad was 25, and she was 40, they got married. He continued to attend to Khadija's buisnesses, and their next years were spent prosperous and pleasant. They had six children, for their four daughters to only live, the two sons both died of infincy.
