R.I.P Mahatma Gandhi
Mahatma Gandhi, was assassinated on 30 January 1948 by Nathuram Godse at Birla House in New Delhi. Gandhi had just climbed up the steps of a raised lawn behind Birla House where he conducted his multi-faith prayer meetings, when he was shot by Godse. Godse stepped out from the crowd and into Gandhi's path, and fired three bullets at point-blank range. Gandhi crumpled to the ground, leaving the crowd in shock. Gandhi was carried back to his room in Birla House, where a doctor declared him dead. -
