Ghiberti builds the bronze doors to the Bapistry
Ghiberti won in a broze sculpting competition against Brunelleschi to create the heavy bronze doors to the Northern Bapistry. These doors have since been removed, but replicas stand in their place. The doors have been celebrated for the masterful work in broze sculpting and the attention paid to the viewer of the doors. -
