    Inciting Incident

    Prim is chosen as the tribute for District 12, but Katniss volunteers instead. This sets the rest of the story in motion.

    Rising Aciton

    i) Peeta confesses his feelings for Katniss in the interview with Caesar, as probably commanded by Haymitch ii) Peeta joins the Careers iii) Katniss and Rue meet after fending off the Careers with the tracker jackers iv) The muttations are released and chase after Cato. Cato is eventually put out of his misery by Katniss

    Climax

    The Gamemakers annouce that there may only be one winner between Katniss and Peeta. Both Katniss and Peeta eat poisonous berries after refusing to kill eachother and in defiance of the Capitol.

    Falling Action

    i) The Gamemakers announce that both tributes can be the winners after they almost eat the berries. They're then taken to the Capitol for the final interview.

    Denouement / Resolution

    Peeta asks Katniss if their romance will continue, and President Snow warns Katniss that he's aware of the stunt she pulled with Peeta in the Games, and that she has to keep up the romance dynamic with Peeta as well.
