    The idea of Internet was thought around the 1960s, specifically 1962. J.C.R. Licklider came up with the idea of a global computer network around the world. This idea was eventually shared with fellow colleagues at the ARPA. This then became reality in 1969.

This was developed by Tim Berners-Lee, called the WorldWideWeb. This was when also the first tool to browse the internet Archie was created, by a student from McGill University named Alan Emtage.

    Computer Researchers used a live shot to tell when their coffee pot was fresh and ready. This idea was later connected to the World Wide Web and became the first webcam.

    One of the first known Web purchases takes place, a pepperoni pizza with mushrooms and extra cheese from Pizza Hut. Moreover in 1994, Bill Clinton's white house comes online and Yahoo was created. This is also when the first banner and advertisements on webpage came to life.

    Netflix launches as a company that sends DVDs to homes via mail. Go Daddy launches as Jomax Technologies and Google.com registers as a domain.

    The MP3 downloading service Napster launches, overloading high-speed networks in college dormitories. This was later banned by the Colleges since there was illegal music sharing.

    Social networking site Friendster.com launches, but is quickly overtaken by Facebook. Microsoft also launches Xbox, and its multiplayer gaming service. Fifty-five million people have also started working from the computer.

    This was the year when iTunes Apple Music launched with 200,000 songs costing 99 cents each. The store sold 1 million songs in its first week.

    MySpace opens up its doors, which later grew to be the most popular social network at one time. This was a very popular social network back in the day, and now it has been taken over by Facebook.

    Facebook launched in 2004, though at the time it was only open to college students and was called “The Facebook”. This is still one of the most popular sites in 2022.

    YouTube launched in 2005, bringing free online video hosting and sharing to the masses. This just like Facebook is still one of the most popular social media applications as of 2022. I personally watch YouTube all the time and I can believe that every other individual also does.

    The biggest innovation of 2007 was almost certainly the iPhone, which was almost wholly responsible for renewed interest in mobile web applications and design. The iPhone has been one of the most popular phones since 2007 and still is as of 2022. This is on of Apple's best products on the market.

    The first “Internet election” took place in 2008 with the U.S. Presidential election. It was the first year that national candidates took full advantage of all the Internet had to offer. Hillary Clinton jumped on board early with YouTube campaign videos. Virtually every candidate had a Facebook page or a Twitter feed, or both.

    Satoshi Nakamoto launches the Bitcoin network, a digital cash system on a decentralized, cryptographically-secure peer-to-peer protocol — the first blockchain. This as of right now is very popular in 2022 and 1 BTC is almost equal to as 55,000 dollars Canadian.

    As technology has become a greater part of everyday life, film and television producers have begun to create content focusing on tech workers and start-up business culture. This has caused a very big internet on our generation and the cultures and traditions we acquire.

    Building a computer into the watch form factor has been attempted many times but the release of the Apple Watch leads to a new level of excitement. Incorporating a version of Apple's iOS operating system, as well as sensors for environmental and health monitoring, the Apple Watch was designed to be incorporated into the Apple environment with compatibility with iPhones and Mac Books.
