The Maine (an American battleship) was destroyed in the Havana Harbor and Spain was forced into War with America, where Spain lost. -

This Republic lasted only one month. Its main purpose was the separation of Church and State. -
The Spanish Civil War
General Sanjurjo was killed in a plane crash, Francisco Franco's forces took over Madrid. -

Basque Terrorist Organization. Has killed 1,000 people since its foundation. -

The Battle of Covadonga
During this battle the Arabs were defeated by the Christians. They won under the rule of Don Pelayo, and he was then later named the King of Asturias. -
Don Garcia
The Asturian monarchy moved the court to Leon under the reign of Don Garcia and this allowed for southward expansion of Christianity in Spain. -
