American Asylum for the Deaf and Dumb
American Asylum for the Deaf and Dumb was founded in 1817 to give education to children who were hearing impaired. It is now called the American School for the Deaf and helped drive the way for residential schools to be established in the US. A group of administrators helped establish this organization that helps develop quality teaching for the special needs learner. The Arc is a national community-based organization that helps and supports people and children with special needs disabilities. The Rehabilitation Act Section 504 was when the disability civil rights law was established in the US. The Enactment of Education for All Handicapped Children Act was founded in 1975. This law gave children with disabilities a right to have a free education. The Common Core State Criteria
This was to have all students be ready for college and their job someday. There were standards in English and math for children to meet. It also helped children with disabilities, and they were able to have the same inclusion environment with the same curriculum just as their fellow classmates.

This law was established by George W. Bush in 2001.The vision and goal was to help bring quality education in elementary and secondary public schools.
