Tommy Flowers was its engineer and the main mathematician behind it was called Max Newman. -

It's prototype was known as the Brown Box.

Snapchat is available in about 15 different languages.
Using snapchat you can take photos, record videos, add text and drawings, and send them to a controlled list of users that you have allowed to follow you.
These messages, images, etc. are called 'snaps'.
