Black Tuesday
Prices were low as can be which meant for farmers or other sellers wouldn't be making as much money. Since people didn't have enough money they took all their money out of the bank to feed them. WHich was bad news for the bank. -
The Bank Closed
When people came to get a loan from the bank it was closed. The banks were closing left to right becauase they had no money to provide to anyone. People wanted money so they could provide on the table while they were struggling. -
Dust Bowl Begins
The farmers are over plowing and overgraze which causes the dirt to blow. Little storms to form, which made dust and dirt on the clean floors inside the houses. They called it the Begining of the Black Blizzard. -
All Banks Close
President Roosevelt ordered all the banks that are remaining to close because the goverment couldn't pay all the goverment workers. Which ment more people were out of work and homeless. History Facts -
Elections
There was an overwhelming election between Hoover and Roosevelt, and on March 4th was the day when Roosevelt took office. Hoover was a Republican and Roosevelt was a Demicratic. -
Pig Slaughter
Over 6 million young pigs were slaughtered but lots wen to waste and the public. The farmers killed them and got some money to last them for awhile. They also put out ther eof rthe public is beans, beef, cotton, and other needs. Pig Slaughter -
Cow Slaughtering
The farmers didn't have enough money to feed the cattle with out bankrupting them so they had to slaughter them. Otherwise give them up to the goverment who enventually slaughtered them. Then when they slaghtered them the goverment would give to the nation who are hungary. -

The Hollywood Film Indrusty was doing great during the great depression. They made funny movie and also made hte Wizard of Oz. They think they made so much money was because people wanted to forget the hardtimes. -
Dust Bowls Ends
Lots of rain came and ended the dust bowl. All the dust and dirt settled through out the mid-west. Things started to brighten up after this event because the Great Depression was starting to end.

America has to borrwo 1 billion dollars to to build an army to protect Pearl Habor in Hawii from Japan. Our manufaracting produse goes up by 50%. Which mean more job will made. -

Since they were in war wiht Japan more jobs were made. For both male and female. The females did some teaching, nursing stuff, and then did some factory work. The males did factory owrk, farming, and other things.
