Boycott of Jewish Businesses
Less than 3 months after coming to power in Germany, the Nazi leadership staged an economic boycott targeting Jewish-owned businesses and the offices of Jewish professionals. This shows that Jews were treated unfairly because they destroyed any Jewish business owner which causes them to fall behind in business and in money. -
Press Censorship Law
The jews were forbidden from working in journalism. This shows unfair treatment to the Jews because they lost their jobs and they had very limited information about what was going on and basically was kept in the dark. -
Law for the Protection of German Blood and Honor
Ban or any marriage or relations of Jews and non-Jews. Along with identifying a Jew by if their grandparents were Jewish. This shows unfair treatment to the Jews by not allowing them to marry whoever they would like too. They also made it unfair to non Jews because they couldn’t marry whomever they love. -
Jewish Name Law
This law required that Jews that did not have Jewish first names to take the middle names Israel (For men) and Sara (For women). This showed unfair treatment to the Jews because they got their names taken away from them and had to also change their middle names. -
Polish Jews Deported From Germany
Nazi Germany expelled about 17,000 jews from Germany in 1938. This shows unfair treatment to Jews because they were basically getting kicked out and couldn’t do anything about it. -
Kristallnacht Attacks
The German Government declared an attack on Jewish Businesses, homes, and synagogues. 30,000 jews men and boys were arrested and sent to concentration camps. This shows unfair treatment to the Jews because they were attacked and most didn’t have anything left or just barley had something left. They were killed in unfairness and in wrong. -
Anti-Semitism Economy Law
The Law was that jews could not have businesses or engage in trade. This was unfair to Jews because they couldn’t work and they couldn’t get any money to feed their kids or themselves, they also couldn’t trade any items to get food, clothes or water. -
First Kindertransport Arrives
Kindertransport children sent to Great Britain were generally safe during world war 2 but children sent to western Europe were in danger again when Nazi Germany invaded those countries in 1940. This shows unfair treatment to the Jews because they had no place to go and were in danger and faced persecution or trauma. -
Jewish Badge Introduced in Germany
Jews were forced to wear the “Yellow Star of David” on all of their clothing to identify as a Jew. This shows that Jews were treated unfairly because they were forced to wear the “Yellow Star of David’. They were also forced to be identified as a Jew even if they didn’t practice Judaism. -
Warsaw Ghetto Uprising Begins
This is the day when jews living in the Warsaw ghetto started fighting against the Nazis. This shows unfair treatment to the Jews because they were really no match against the Nazi force because they had no weapons and were weak and out of shape because they were starved.
