THE FIRST IPHONE WAS INVENTED. Technology has really impacted not only my life but also society, I think the first iPhone was a revolutionary moment I am curious to see how technology has an impact on our future. -
Walked at 10 Months old
I was very active as a child, I never crawled however I did start walking 2 months before the normal age a child starts to walk. It was also unique for me to not crawl and walk first instead. -
Dianas Birth
Diana is my younger sister. She is one year and 7 months younger than me we are very close in age. During her birth, I was hospitalized because I had a severe fever and something wrong with my kidneys. So I was very jealous of her. I thought I was replaced. My parents took me to an unfamiliar place where I was poked with needles and I came home to my mother holding another baby. I love her regardless. -
Breast cancer
In 2008 shortly after my younger sisters birth my mom unfortunately got diagnosed with breast cancer. She had no family, and my dad was stressed about money. My mother's job fired her. Luckily she beat breast cancer and thanks god she got the opportunity to raise us. -
POC PRESIDENT
In 2008 Barack Obama was elected. He became the first black president. As a Hispanic women I was very happy to see that. -
Citlalis First school year !
I only spoke Spanish at home so I struggled greatly with having to not only be in a new environment. I struggled making friends I had one guy friend named Ismael he also spoke Spanish. I was okay with going to school I didn't cry like other kids, I was also potty trained I didn't need to ask for help to go to the bathroom or use a diaper. I was very observant not having many friends gives you the opportunity to see others actions. -
Time to move
My parents were a new family they married in august in 2005 and had lived in Byron Lakes apartments until 2010, we found a house 4 minutes away that was also in Byron Center. I still remember the family who was selling the house greeting us it was a brown hair man and abginger wife with two daughters with curly ginger hair. The house was small and light blue. I still live here and made many memories here. -
Finally Fluent
Although I could speak English I was never fully comfortable speaking it until I entered kindergarten. I finally made more friends and could even read some words in English. Little did I know that in a couple of years English would become my dominant language. I am so fortunate to be bilingual and I am thankful for the opportunities it will provide for me. I hope to become Trilingual soon. -
Education
During 1st grade I finally could read and write, since my parents spoke Spanish I was a little bit behind other students. But I could read books and write sentences . -
New Transition
I went from Marshall Elementary to nickles intermediate. All the elementrys combined and so I made a lot of friends. -
Under The Sea
I loved ariel,As a baby I always watched the little mermaid so when I finally went to Disney and got the opportunity to meet ariel herself it was a dream come true. -
Yellow/orange card
I was in 2nd grade I think my teachers were a little meand and strict. We had to get our agendas signed every day (what we did the day prior) I always forgot and the teachers got mad at me so they gave me a yellow card the first couple of times and then an orange. It made me feel ashamed I really hope they don't do that to kids anymore. -
My mothers greatest saddness
My only gradnfather that i had during my lifetime passed away. My mom was so sad. He never wanted to talk to us because he was mad at my mom for moving to the US. I wish he would have spoken to us. -
Aunt flo
I started my first period. I wanted my period but when I had it I started bawling my eyes out. I didn't know what to do I was embarrassed to have it. -
Mexico
I finally visited Mexico, it was something I would never forget. I met new family members, I love the cousins I met they were my age I had no idea I had cousins my age. -
Covid started happening
In 2019 Covid started to spread in China, eventually around march of 2020 covid started a pandemic in the United States. It forever changed our society's lives. -
Covid-19 Changed my life
Covid started happening I remember my science teacher talking about it during December but we completely brushed it off little did I know that would have a big impact in our future. -
2023
I get to experience my last year of highschool. I hope to make many memories. -

Someone who meant alot to me passed away. It impacted me greatly I will never be the same again -

I had my 15th! That means alot to a girl who experiences Mexican culture.I had a lot of fun. -
