King Henry takes the Throne
King Henry VIII took the throne in 1509. He was the second son of King Henry VII. His older brother dies though in 1502 making Henry the heir to the throne. He eventually married Catherine of Aragon who was his brothers widow. -

Parliament passed a law that required the citizens of England to take an oath that declared King Henry VIII the head of The Church of England. It was the oficial brak from the Roman Catholic Church. -

It made the Queen the head of the church of England and she was called the Supreme govenor of the Church of England. It was a crime not to honor the Oath. -
