- Was told that she wouldnt enjoy being empress for long.
- Helped increased Russias economic affairs.
- Increased uses of music and art and the science academy of art.
- Divored Peter the Great and had him arrested for life.

*Remembered as the most reactionary of Russians monarch.
*Interested in enginering and military affaris.
*Steamlined Russias code of laws and its finacial and education systems.
*Expanded Russias territory gaining control of far East adn pushing borders towards Pacific rim.
*Died in 1855 after catching a cold.
*People thought he had posioned himself after learning of one of Russians military defeats.

*Nicholas ascended the throne in 1894 after his fathers unexpected death.
*Had five children- Child, Aleksey was diagnosed with hemophilia
*Confirmed autocrat, like his farther.
*1904- took his country to wat in Japan.
*Russia's defeat ruined monarchys pestige which lead to a revolution in 1905 known as Bloody Sunday.
*1914- Went into World War I after wanting to prevent a German invasion of Europe.
