Seventeen Years Before
Alex is pregnant with Josie. Alex met Lacy during a birthing class and they hit it off. Lacy and Alex went out for coffee and Alex held Peter and Peter started cyring. Alex later went to Lacy's office because she was spotting. Alex did acupuncture because she was breach. Alex had a long birth with Josie. -
Twelve Years Before
On Peters first day of school, his lunch box got thrown off the school bus, but Josie was waiting for him on the bus. Drew was picking on Peter and Josie punched him in the nose. The teacher told Lacy that Peter needs to toughen up. Peter just wanted people to like him, but when he got glasses they called him mean things. Alex got a job offer as a judge, and she recieved the postion. Peter learned how to clean a firearm and his dad was going to take him hunting. -
Six Years Before
Lacy gave Peter a Superman folder to start sixth grade with and
Drew made fun of it and made Peter spill milk on it. After soccer practice, Matt broke Peter's glasses because Peter was looking at him. During school, 9/11 had happened and all the kids had to go to the media center. Lacy and Alex arrived at the same time and acted like friends. -
One Year Before
Peter started a fire in the dumpster at work and was fired for it. Josie and Matt went to meet Josies dad. When she got there, he gave her money and had her leave. She had Matt stop and she got out of the car. She didn't want to pretend everything was okay, and she ended up losing her virginity. Peter was creating a video game and he circled people's faces in the yearbook for it. Josie and Matt were at Maddies house and Matt wanted to leave, but Josie didn't. Matt bruised her arms. -
One Year Before
The Houghton family had to put down their family dog. Lacy wanted everyone to tell good memories about him, but everyone thought it was dumb. Peter started telling a story to comfort Lacy. Josie and Peter both got a job at the print shop. Josie felt curious about her dad and had Peter look up his address for her. Later, Peter made a presentation about popularity and embarassed Josie. The only thing that saved her was she was dating Matt. Matt beat up Peter for talking to Josie. -
Ten Days After
Josie snuck out of her room to watch videos of her and Matt because she missed him. She took off her necklace while she was downstairs. Lacy was buying milk and the cashier brought up the shooting to Lacy. At the town grief session, Courtney's father attacked Jordan, and there was many people venting. Jordan's tires were slashed because he is representing Peter. Drew picked Josie up to go to school and gave her Matt's hat. Patrick saw Alex during a smoke break and asked her how Josie was doing. -
The Month Before
Lacy gave Peter advice to tell Josie how he felt about her. Peter wrote an email to Josie telling her how he felt. Courtney saw it and forwarded it to Drew telling him to forward it to the school. Courtney saw Peter by the lockers and told him that Josie liked him. He went up to Josie in the cafeteria and he got pantsed. He dropped his lunch and Josie put it in her bag. Peter went over to his neighbors and stole a glock. -
6:30am
Peter woke up to see the email he wrote to Josie. -
10:16am
Matt told Josie he loved her. A gun feel out of Peters backpack and Josie grabbed it, Josie shot Matt in the stomach, and it was her and Peters secret. -
Hours After
The victims were covered with shock blankets and they had sharpie on their forehead. John Ebberhard fell out of a two story window and was paralyzed. Lacy learned that Peter was the shooter when a girl was talking about it. Alex figured out that Josie was injured and Matt was dead. Peter was taken into custody and he didn't say anything to Patrick about the shooting. A student was helping Mr. McCabe when he was shot. The last victim was a special needs student. -
Hours After
Lacy took all the evidence and put it in a bag. When the police arrived, she was treated horribly; they left her outside in the cold. Jordan was going to be Peters lawyer because he thought everyone deserved a chance. Patrick gave everyone 24 hours to go through evidence. Patrick went to the hospital to talk to Josie and he told her what happened and she hit him and the nurses gave her sedatives. -
The Day After
Lacy hugged Peter for longer than allowed and they talked about the shooting. Patrick watched the tapes and saw Peter sit down to eat cereal and contined on. He also hacked through the schools computer system. Peter didn't feel remorse for what he did because they made him feel worthless everyday. -
The Day After
Peter felt alone in his cell. Lewis went downstairs with the police to see if guns were missing and two were. Peter didn't talk to Jordan all that much. Alex didn't want to be taken off the case because she is nothing more than a judge. Peter had multiple guns, pipe bombs, stuff to make more bombs, and his computer were taken. Josie went to Matt's memorial service and treid to talk but couldn't. Josie told Patrick that her and Peter weren't friends, and they only worked together. -
One Month After
Zoe Patterson was shot on the steps in front of the school; she was the first one shot. There was a makeshift memorial at the floodplain for those who were killed during the shooting. There were 10 victims, but there was 11 crosses. One of them was for Peter, but it kept getting destroyed. Lucy went to deliver Janet's baby, but Janet didn't want a murder's mother to deliver her baby. Jordan and Peter were talking and he listed the ingredients to make a bomb. -
One Month After
The ingredients were: newspaper, fertilizer, cotton, diesel fuel, potassium chlorate, and vaseline. Peter was filtering chemicals for the potassium chlorate and his dad saw. Peter said he was doing a chemisrty product when Lewis asked about it. The posse was different because not everybody was around anymore. Josie, Drew, Emma, and Brady were left. -
One Month After
A lady had an outburst in the courtroom and broke glass and it broke in Peters hands, and Alex noticed so she had him open his hands.Peter recieved a letter from Elena Battista and she posed as a bullied high school student and got Peter to speak. She wrote a story for Time magaazine without him knowing it. Jordan yelled at Peter when he found out about the interview, -
One Month After
Peters dad kept the car appointment because he knew that Peters car would've passed even though it's impounded. Lacy was going to leave Peters visit because of the rude things that was being said, but Peter made her stay when he said, "it would just be another thing to apologize for." The attorneys wanted Alex to recuse herself from the case. Peter was charged with 10 first degree murders. Drew spit a spitball at a kid and Josie realized that nothing had changed. -
One Month After
The school's anti-bullying policy policies were that they kept records of incidents and if it continued they talked to McAllister. Katie Riccobono was a battered woman who stabbed her husband to death in his sleep. King Wah was a forensic psychiatrist. Josie was re-interviewed to make sure she didn't know anything and Drew was also interviewd. Drew said he didn't bully Peter and that Josie and Peter were best friends. -
One Month After
Lewis told Lacy that he was going to visit Peter, but he really went to the cemetry. Patrick ordered food from the Golden Dragon and Alex was there. She was waiting for Whit. Patrick offered to buy her a drink, but she declined the offer because she was meeting with Whit. Jordan was going to put Josie as a witness so Alex would have to step down. -
One Month After
Alex went to Jordan's house to ask him about Josie being a witness. On Peter's birthday a special needs kid came into his cell and Peter broke his glasses. Alex agreed to get an affidavit for Jordan so Josie wouldn't have to testify. Alex and Patrick talked about the shooting and how he found Josie in the locker room. -
Five Months After
Jordan made a statement to the court room telling them not to judge and no harsh punishments. Patrick and Alex have been dating for just a short time during this time. Josie is very jealous because her boyfriend is now dead and she wishes she still had that relationship with him. Josie told Alex that she was doing a tutoring job over the summer, but she really went to the cemetry. Lacy bought Peter new clothes because she will never be able to buy him anything again. -
Five Months After
Lewis apologized to Peter for not being a present father throughout his life. Patrick and Diana talked to Drew and he lied about not bullying Peter. Patrick lied to Drew about being able to arrest him. Josie ran from the dinenr table because it was the night before the trial. Alex comforted her by telling her a story about when she was little and was drowning in a pool. Jordans son called him to wish him luck the night before. -
Five Months After
Josie asked to go to the trial and Alex let her. Alex ran upstairs and puked. Jordan gave Peter glasses to wear to the trial to make him look more sympathetic. Diana opened her statement by saying Peter had it all planned out. Jordan opened by saying Peter wasn't in the right state of mind that morning. Zoe's testimony was sympathetic because she could no longer play soccer. Jordan stated she was in the wrong place at the wrong time. -
Five Months After
According to Dusty Spears, the school didn't tolerate bullying. Derek was called by the prosecution. He said they were friends and he was suprised Peter didn't tell him. Alex told Lacy something still exsists as long as someone's around to remember it, and she was talking about Peter. Alex told Josie about the email being read in court and Josie was embarassed for herself. -
Five Months After
Michael Beach was in the gym when Peter came in. He stepped in front of his friend and took the bullet for him. When Peter saw Haley Weaver on the witness stand he felt phsyically sick. Josie met with John Ebberhard and he was walking, but he couldn't talk. Josie was talking to Lacy and said she was there because she was Peters friend. Drews testimony for the prosecution was sympatheic and for the prosecution he showed his bullying side. -
Five Months After
Eleanor helped Alex out of the courtroom. Josie didn't tell anyone about it because she loved Matt, but hated him at the same time. Peter was charged with eight first degree murders and two second degree murders. A kid was being bullied in Lewis' class and his name was Peter. Lewis wished that he had spent more time with him. Lacy packed everything in Peter's room and then unpacked it. Peter ended up suffocating himself. -
Five Months After
Jordan went to Alex's house to have Josie tesifty. During their interview, Josie started to remember parts of the shooting. Patrick went to the school when he found out and discovered that Josie shot Matt. Josie testifyed in court. She was in the locker room with Matt and screamed when Peter came in. Peter was startled and dropped his bookbag. A gun fell out and Josie grabbed it. She pointed it at Peter but shot Matt in the stomach. Josie and Peter said that it was their secret. -
Five Months After
Peter blew up Matt's car and came up the steps. He walked into the cafeteria and started shooting. He sat down and ate cereal and then continued on into the gym, and finally the locker room. Jordan felt it was important that Dr. Curtis Uppergate did not meet with Peter because in order to get a proper diagnosis, you need to meet with the client. King Wah had Peters brain scanned to show it wasn't fully developed. Peter was suffering from PTSD which caused him to resort to violence. -
Five Months After
Peter recieved mail from Angela Phlug and it was important because he felt sympathy for her. Lacy was called to testify and she smiled at Peter. A man screamed at Lacy about his daughter and called Peter a monster. Selena took Lacy to the janitors closet and Alex came in to comfort her. Peter asked Jordan if he could tesitfy. Jordan was hesitant, but let him. Jordan called Peter as a witness, and Peter broke their script.
