The end of the First Crusade
Christian forces gathered and encamped before the City of Jerusalem in June. The city was taken in mid July though hundreds of lives had been slaughtered at the cost of taking control of the city. -
Oct 5, 1147
The Second Crusade
The Muslim forces began to gain territory against the Christian forces which they had called their own holy war called Jihad in 1144. This push from the muslim forces then sparked another crusade in 1147 which was led by King Louis VII of France and King Conrad III of Germany. In that October King Conrad's forces have been crushed at Dorylaeum; a site of prior victory and success in the First Crusade. -

End of The Second Crusade
The combined forces of King Lois and King Conrad numbered
50 000, the largest yet. The army had been gathered at Jerusalem and had organised an attack on Damscus, this caused the ruler of damascus to call Nur al-din for aid. The christian force had then surffered a humiliating defeat against the muslim forces, successfully ending the second crusade. -

Saladins Campaign
After various attempts by the crusader forces to capture Egypt Nur al-Dins army had captured Cairo which had forced the christians forces to flee from the city. Saladin had begun a campaign against the crusaders in 1187. -
Apr 1, 1189
Start of Third Crusade
After the numerous defeats caused by the Muslim forces the Third Crusade was inspired as outrage was struck in the community. This crusade was led by Emperor Fredrick Barbossa, king Phillip II Of France and King Richard I of England. -
Sep 1, 1192
The Third Crusade Ends
In September 1191 King Richard I army had defeated Saladin's muslim forces at the battle of Arsluf, this then would be the only true battle of the Third Crusade. From the recaptured city of Jaffa King Richard I then restored the christian control of some areas. In 1192 Richard and the Muslim ruler Saladin had signed a peace treaty that reestablished the Kingdom of Jerusalem
