Columbus was sailing west to try and find a sea route to Japan. He instead landed upon the modern day Bahamas which he thought were the West Indies. -

Cortés conquers the Aztec Empire
The Spaniards found the Aztec Empire Cortés overthrows the empire due to many advantages one main advantage was the huge advantage in weaponry. -

Pizarro conquers the Incan Empire
Pizarro marched a small group to the Incas where they eventually took the leader (Atahualpa) hostage they received one room filled with gold and two with silver but in the end they still killed Atahualpa. -
The English Found Jamestown
The English sail to the New World and establish their first town called Jamestown. -
The English settlers find Plymouth.
The Pilgrims founded the second English colony called Plymouth these settlers wanted religous freedom so they sailed to the Americas. -
The French and Indian War Ends.
The English soon wanted to push farther west but not long after they started running into French settlements. This conflict became known as the French and Indian war. The English along with Native American allies defeated the French and gain all their land.
