MAJOR CHANGES- In the 13th century they invaded China and ruled for 97 years.
ACCOMPLISHMENTS-Mongol domination ensured the diffusion of Chinese technology.
1. The Mongols constructed roads that united Europe and Asia.
2. Mongol Khans funded advances in medicine and astronomy.
3. They spread the culture and innovations of the places that they conquered.
4. They united the areas along the Silk Road and ensured protection along the Silk Road to encourage trade and travel.

China-Yuan Dynasty
MAJOR CHANGES- they overran China and didn't take in Chinese culture. They destroyed all arts, cratfs, and books.
FAILURES-Got rebelled from the chinese after they were fed up with the mongols.They lost the battle and lost the land of China by Zhu Yuanzhang -

China-Ming Dynasty
MAJOR CHANGES-They restored China back to how it was from the Yuan.
ACCOMPLISHMENTS-The Ming Dynasty marked an era of great contributions in the fields of culture, science and technology.China’s famous blue and white porcelain was originated in the Ming era. -

Korean-Choson Dynasty
ACCOMPLISHMENT-One of the Choson founders’ goals was to eliminate the power of the Buddhist church; consequently, Buddhism was no longer supported by the state, temple lands were confiscated, and Choson established Confucianism as the state "religion."
The Choson Dynasty was Korea's longest dynasty ever to end. -
China-Tang Dynasty
MAJOR CHANGES-They biult schools to prepare male students for the exams and help develope a flexible new law code.Tang emperors instituted a system of land reform.This policy strengthened the central government by weakening the power of large landowners. It also increased government revenues, since the peasants who farmed their own land would be able to pay taxes.
The Tang Dynasty is the most influential empire of China’s civilization. -
China- Song Dynasty
MAJOR CHANGES- Chinese wealth and culture dominated East Asia even when its armies did not. Under the Song, the Chinese economy expanded.
ACCOMPLISMENTS-Generally, the Song Dynasty was prosperous in many respects of the society. In agriculture, the productive technology was improved which promoted the output of food; in handicraft industry, the division of labor became more detailed which made the handicrafts technology reach an advanced level. -
Korean- Shilla Dynasty
MAJOR CHANGES-The last of the three great kingdoms to develop, it was less influenced by the Chinese, accepting Confucianism and Buddhism only in the early 500s.
ACCOMPLISHMENTS-While Shilla did not gain control of the entire Koguryo territory, it did succeed in unifying the peninsula south of a line roughly from P'yongyang to Wonsan Bay -
Korean- Koryo Dynasty
MAJOR CHANGE-*Korea become tributary state to China
*Adopt Confucian ideals (woman subordinate to men, imp of family relationships)
*Change Chinese Civil Service (only aristocrats can take test)
ACCOMPLISHMENTS- the Koryo dynasty produced some of the finest cultural and artistic achievements in Korea's history. -
