    Fredonian Rebbellion
    Haden and Benjamin Edwards had received the ability to take 800 Texas families to Texas and he could evict Mexicans who had no claims which angered Mexican citizens. And after an event were the Mexicans were trying to force Americans out during an election the American settlers lost all rights to be in the government. With that he tried to accuse the government of corruption he failed and it ended with the Americans being highly fined and forced from Texas.

    The law of april 6th had made the american settlers have to pay a fine for new settlers to come to texas. The law also made the settlers not able to import any slaves into texas. In desperation tried to persuade the goverment yet they failed and this was a major contributing factor to the reabbalion.

    With plenty of anger stored up by the americans and the new president of mexico disliking the settlers, trouble was bound to happen. The new mexica president Santa Anna wanted to confiscate the settlers only way of protecting themselves, the settlers were outraged. With that the settlers started the texas revolution which the settlers would eventually win.

    With high tension between the american settlers and the mexicans, the mexicans arrested Stephen F Austin, the leader of the settlers at that timee. He had been jailed for 8 months and when he returned to the colonies he found them at the verge of waging war. Austin soon lost all hope that the settlers would try to cooperate with mexico with all this built up anger, so he prepared for war.

    After the law of April 6th the Mexicans went to confiscate a cannon the American settlers had to defend themselves from nativesthe texans they were outraged taunting the Mexicans who almost immediately sent a group to take the cannon. Once the Mexicans arrived they tried to find a way in and found a bridge, yet it was guarded and the Mexicans were told to wait. On October 2nd the Mexican's camp was attacked. A small battle broke out but the Mexicans tried to avoid violence so the settlers won.

    On March first of the year George c childress along with others made the Texas deceleration. The next day the declaration was finished and it was copied and sent to five towns were the American settlers were. Then within days it was signed and approved.
  • The End Of The Battle Of The Alamo

    The End Of The Battle Of The Alamo
    It began when santa anna sent a couriers telling the alamoists to surrender, which then he was fired at. For days the had small fights but on march 5 santa anna ordered a full on assult. With the Alamoists having no backup and broken walls it seemed like an advantage for the mexicans. In the end the alamoists lost but the small 150 group brought down 400-600 mexicans with them so in the end it was a major loss for both sides.

    With the soldiers at goliad and the alamo defeated, the rebel leadet at fort defiance would not retreat so he could deleay or defeat more mexican soldiers. Yet soon he had to retreat to and it was also delayed. eventually the mexicans had caught up and prepared to seige the fleeing rebels. But the rebel fighting force was alot stronger force than thought and the mexicans had to give up because they ran out of amnunition. Though the next day the rebels surrendered and were executed at goliad.

    After the battle of the alamo many sldiers were at goliad and because of a very late retreat, But because of a late retreat the rebels had a battle with the advancing mexicans and then they surrendered. A few days later they were to be executed with no mercy, In the end 350 rebels died and this caused major anger in the rebels,and with that said that was a large spark in the flame of war and this would cause the battle of san jacinto.

    Finally Sam Houston had assembled an army and prepared for battle. Withe goliad the alamo and coleto defeated Sam's army was the last hope for the rebels. Santa Anna and his army were less than a mile away and Sam had made a battle plan. At 3:30 in the morning the rebels snuck up to the Mexican camp and within 18 minutes the battle was won. Many died on the Mexican side and the rest were taken prisoner, yet only 9 rebels died that day although Santa Anna had escaped.
