Austin Grant

Austin Imprisoned
After Santa Anna was elected dictator of Mexico, he strongly rejected any ideas of a civil war. When Stepehen F. Austin sent a letter saying that Texas should consider revolting, it was intercepted, and he was arrested. -
Battle at Gonzales
The Texans were given a small cannon to defend themselves. When the Mexicans requested for them to return it, the rebels famously put up a flag saying, "come and take it." A battle started, marking the first battle of the Texas Revolution. -

When the news of the Alamo spreads, all western texans flee as Santa Anna sweeps through nearly unprecedented. Nearly all of Western Texas is evacuated. -

An army of 300 Texans was overwhelmingly surrounded in the town of Goliad, and they were commanded to surrender, lead to thinking that they would be let free. However, Santa Anna ordered to have all 300 men massacred. -

As general Sam Houston meets Santa Anna in San Jacinto, this battle is for all the marbles. But after a quick twelve minutes, the Texans capture Santa Anna, and Texas has won its independence. -
