Hit Clip
This was the first method I ever remember listening to music! You could buy these little "clips" of songs that only played 30 seconds or less of the song. The clip looked like a mini CD and you inserted it into your device. The device had a little speaker so you didn't need headphones to listen to the music. My favorite musicians at the time to listen to were Brittany Spears and Back Street Boys! -
VCR
I remember recording my favorite movies on TV onto a tape and then watching them on our VCR player. My parents have our family home videos on VCR too. -
Boombox
I used to have a boombox to play music that would take both cassette tapes and CDs. -
CD Player
I used to bring my portable CD player to school and listen to it on my bus rides to and from school. I used headphones to plug into the CD player and I shared them with my friend as we listened to the same 10-12 songs on repeat! -
iPod Nano 3rd Generation
I was SO excited to receive my very first iPod when I was 11 or 12. It allowed me to about 250 songs, which was a big upgrade from only being able to play one CD at a time. You listened to the songs with earphones. It also came with a few free games that were fun to play. -
LG Scoop Slide Phone
I remember begging my mom and dad to get a cell phone and I got my very first phone on my 12th birthday! It was a slide phone that revealed a whole keyboard. I loved being able to type on that keyboard. I didn't have a ton of apps on my phone. I mainly used it for texting and calling. -
Verizon LG enV Touch Phone
My second phone flipped open to the side and revealed a whole keyboard. It also had a touch screen, which was so exciting to me! -
MacBook Pro
I was so excited to get my MacBook Pro as a gift for graduating High School. I still have this same laptop and it was what I used throughout college to write all my papers and complete each assignment. -
iPhone 4
This was my first iPhone. I loved how much storage it had and how I could play games, text, listen to music, and do everything all in one device. My phone had 8GB and it seemed like so much at the time! -
iPhone 6 Plus
Upgrading to the iPhone 6 Plus from the iPhone 4 was a huge step up. This phone has a capacity of 64 GB. The camera quality and speed is a huge improvement from my last phone.
