Videotapes and school go hand in hand. Bing Crosby's production company gave the world its first demonstration of a videotape. This phenom led to substitutes playing video tapes for decades. -
Handheld Calculator
The handheld calculator was born. Teachers were hesitant for students to use them because it undermined their teaching. -
Plato Computer
The Plato computer set the standard when it came to computers in the classroom. It was very limited per school. It wasn't until later in the 80s when computers became more prevalent. -
Hand Held Graphing Calculator
The graphing calculator made it easier to do more advanced math. It had plot points and several other abilities within it to do algebra and geometry. There were also games on it.
