  • Begin Planning

    English teachers will meet to plan the initiative and prepare to give a presentation to the administrators and tech person. The presentation will explain the benefits of traveling labs and how the plan will be initiated.

  • Meet with Administrators and Tech Person

    English teachers will present their plan to administrators and tech person. Plans will begin for funding. Administrators and English teachers will discuss the funding.
  • Finalize Funding

    Administrators and English teachers meet to finalize funding. Tech person begins ordering process.
  • Training Day

    Tech person trains the teachers in basic laptop usage, basic trouble-shooting problems, usage of charging cart, and usage of printer. Teachers and tech person will come up with a plan of a step-by-step process for when problems occur. For example, if a laptop does not work, teachers will try "A," "B," and "C" before calling the tech person.
  • First Week of School

    During the first week of school, teachers will discuss with students how to properly use the laptops, laptop cart, and printer. Students will sign a contract stating that they understand how to properly use the traveling lab. Teachers will being using the traveling labs.
  • Progress Meeting

    Administrators, tech person and English teachers will meet to discuss what is going well with the traveling labs and what problems may need to be addressed. Teachers continue to use the labs. Department Chair will schedule another meeting if needed; otherwise, the next meeting will be in January to discuss progress.

    Administrators, tech person and English teachers meet to discuss progress. Teachers continue to use the labs. If needed, Department Chair will schedule another meeting; otherwise, the next meeting will be at the end of the school year.
  • Planning Meeting

    Administrators, tech person and English teachers meet to discuss what went well this year and what needs to be changed. The English department will continue to use the labs next year. Throuhgout the next year the administrators and tech person will begin to implement a plan to replace computer labs with traveling labs.
