  • At Home Computer

    At Home Computer
    In 1995, we finally had our first Dell computer. I spent hours navigating the internet for school research and chatting with friends through AOL. Many hours were also spent on waiting for songs and videos to be downloaded due to the slow dial up speeds supported at that time. But at that time it was worth the wait. I enjoyed the opportunity to have more time to learn on how to navigate a computer. Image Credit :Flickr Amancay Blank
  • Portable CD Player

    Portable CD Player
    Music has always been a big part of my childhood. My mother always had some type of technology to play music (a boom box, or a CD player surround sound system). I got my first portable CD Player in high school and used it all the time. I'd listen to music during my commute to school, while completing homework, and when falling asleep. GIF Image Credit: Giphy

    My junior year in high school I purchased my first beeper (pager). This was so exciting for me, I felt up to date with technology and now had a method to get notifications whenever my friends wanted to reach out to me. I learned different number codes to send word messages and eventually added a voicemail feature on my pager. This was an exciting time. Image Credit: Flickr 360 El Salvador
  • First Cell Phone

    First Cell Phone
    In 2002, I got my first cell phone and have not been without one ever since. I started off with a basic Motorola flip phone capable of low quality pictures and recording short videos. Now I rely on my cell phone to complete many tasks on a daily basis: communication, calendar, research, meetings, scanning documents, listening to music and much more. This is truly one technology I can't live without. Image Credit:[Giphy](https://giphy.com/gifs/motousa-moto-motorola-razr-l0FeblhUK7Z8bqh8I}

I've learned to use software from Microsoft, Adobe, Paint, and many internal programs for clients. Being able to work remotely has allowed me to see the similarities of software. Having this much exposure to technology at this point in my life allowed me to learn new programs quickly.

    In my new position as a Learning Coach Trainer, one of my responsibilities is to maintain our internal website using HTML code. I have learned through Youtube videos and Lynda.com courses on how to create a website. Learning HTML has been very exciting for me and encouraged me to want to learn more about technology. It helped me decide on pursuing my Master's degree in Instructional Design.
