Technology

  • iPod

The iPod was the very first piece of technology I was given. I was super excited because I won it through a contest at school and remember going home thinking I had to go to an Apple store to set it up because I was that new to technology. I had it for a good 3 years and used to charge my brother for him to play on it since he didn't have one. I remember playing fruit ninja and temple run constantly just like a lot of people first games were.
  • First Phone

My very first phone was a simple slide phone in which the "coolest" feature to me was that it could take generic photos. The only reason I was given it was because I moved in with a friend and my dad needed a way to contact me because I was only 12 at the time. I remember being very excited despite the fact everyone else had smartphone by that time and I was the only one in my classes/friend group with a slide phone.
  • First Laptop

My first laptop was a big bulky HP laptop I got for Highschool. It did just what I needed it to for class as far as saving assignments and doing research goes but looking back it definitely wasn't a fast or convinient computer. Nonetheless I am still thankful for it of course especially because at the time it was a great useful computer for me and I was very happy when I got it since I didn't have to use the school library for work.
  • First Smartphone

I was gifted a smartphone for Christmas an LGg3 to be exact and it was and still is considered to be one of the best gifts I've ever gotten. I was so appreciative and thankful for it because I had been begging for a smartphone for so long. I immediately set everything up and downloaded a bunch of social medias to tell all of my friends. I took about a thousand photos that first week and had more apps than I could ever need downloaded.
  • VR headset

Honestly this was something that at first I was thrilled about but as time went on I wasn't super interested as much. This small VR headset I ended up getting for free with a Google Pixel phone I purchased. I've only used in maybe 10 times in the 3 years I had it because it wasn't as cool as I imagined and I gave me a big headache each time...plus it drained my phone a lot. I recently used a friends more advances VR headset and mine was definitely not a good option compared to hers.
  • First bluetooth headphones

To go along with the apple products I also in 2019 bought myself a pair of AirPods. It probably wasn't a smart decision in the moment because I had just quit my job 2 hours prior but I was still pumped to get them and not have to deal with wires anymore. I didn't have any regrets. I think its so neat too that you can tap the AirPods when listening to skip a song or pause the music.
  • First Apple products

After going through a few different smartphones since the first one I was convinced of buying my first Apple product which was a Iphone xs the one I still have and love currently. I was very proud of myself for finally getting an iPhone after wanting one for years. It takes amazing photos and everything is pretty high tech compared to some other phones. I was so happy with it later that year I bought a MacBook Air which I love because I can text/facetime/ etc on it just as I would my phone.
