Quartering Act
The Quartering Act began on March 24, 1765. The Quartering Act caused for the Colonies to be required to house British soliders in barracks. Many were opposed to the Quartering Act not because they were required to house Birtish soliders in their home, but because they had to pay taxes for the British soilders barracks. -

The second continental congress took place in Philadelphia on May 10, 1775. In this a continental army was formed, and five people were chosen to petition againt the king (Benjamin Franklin, Thomas Jefferson, John Rutledge, John Jay, and William Livingston.) -

On July 2, 1776 Congress voted to gain independence from Great Britian. It wasnt until July 4, 1776 that Congress voted to accept The Declaration of Independence. The Declaration of Independence states that "all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness" -

San Antonio, Texas Founded
San Antonio, Texas was founded on May 1, 1781 by the Spanish. While it was given its name on June 13, 1691, because that was the feast day of St. Anthony, it still wasnt founded until 1781. -
