Life So Far
From the age of 5 1/2 to 16 1/2. -
Adoption Date
http://www.redthreadmaps.com/guangdong_s.htmlI was adopted from Guangdong, China and given the new birth date June 15, 1999. No true info was given about my name or birth date. Through tests, this birth date was the most accurate. -
First School Day
http://glstempe.com/As the next year came my parents decided to put me in school as early as possible so I can learn the English language and interation with other children. Although I was supposed to enter into first grade they decided on Kindergarten so I have a little extra time to learn about school and America. -
Learning Egnlish
Spending a couple of months in America helped teach me how to speak english. Most of the time girls had more egos and wanted to teach the new girl how to speak and play. But I learned how to speak easier because I spoke with girls while I was learning. But the guys were fun as well because they liked playing on the play ground and were very cheerful. Some of them may tease but that's because they didn't know how to show their feelings. -
Sea World
https://seaworldparks.com/For my first vacation my parents took me to sea world. I loved and still love aquatic animlas. My favorite thing from Sea World would have been manta rays. I loved how they were so smooth when I touched them and how they swam even though they didn't have fins like fish. Of course most children think there are only fins on fishes. -
Disneyland
https://disneyland.disney.go.com/destinations/disneyland/For my birthday and vacation my parents took my sister and me to Disneyland and Knott's Berry Farm. I had fun riding roller coasters and meeting different Disney stars. Of course, as a child, my favortie Disney crush was Aladdin. Then I met my favorite villan, Maleficent (from Sleeping Beauty). I dropped her pen for signing and she picked it up with disgust. -
Best Friend (Forever)
I had plenty of friends and people I could talk to in middle school, but I didn't have a true best friend yet. Then I met Addie Martin, my best friend previously and currently. We were almost complete opposites. If not for sports I probably wouldn't have spoken much to her. We did and do everything together for the rest of our middle school days. The girl on the very left. -
Beginning of Volleyball
One of my friend's twin suggested that I join our school volleyball because they were down alot of players from their varsity team graduating, I joined and started practices with others although I had no idea what I was doing. After a while I got used to passing and hitting. I was great at serving but setting was my weakest skill. Our coach had us all setting until we could set ourselves 25 times in a row. -
Vision Therapy
http://www.eyepriority.com/I had a lot of problems with my eyes. Yes I played volleyball wtih bad eyes. My eyes wouldn't focus on what I was reading or doing and I would miss important details. My parents took me to the optometrist and they suggested vision therapy because they saw not only was my focus bad but it affected my reading and memory too. So I started doing vision therapy. It helped me alot. I could study and do more sports. -
Literature
For 6th grade, I had a new literature teacher. She taught our class to love reading and our whole class read at least 10 books a month. She was great at suggesting -
Science Teacher
I love science and my seventh grade teacher,Mr.Rynes, helped by giving more reasons to learn about science. He taught us by giving short and to the point presentations and lectures. Then throughout the week he would give a few assignments and groupd projects like posters or things about the lesson. He was relaxed and knew that children didn't like listening to teachers talk all the time. Then on Fridays we would either have free time or go out to play on our blacktop. -
Archery
In my eighth grade year my history teacher decided to create an archery club. Luckily my teacher and his step sister had all the supplies they'd need because good bows and arrows are expensive. My friends Addie, Ty, and I heard about it and we decided we'd all definitely join. We had fun and some of us even went to competitions. -
Graduation
http://www.gilbertschools.net/Domain/13Graduation is so sad. Many of my friends were going to go to school at Horizon High or another private school, some scattering about near their homes. Since both my parents retired from their jobs and they couldn't afford to pay for another private school, they decided to send me to a public school. So on my first day here I knew no familiar names among all the feshmens (28 names isn't hard to remember). -
Freshmen Friends
I don't like the lunch room because it's too noisy so I eat with some kids in a teacher's classroom. My teacher was fine with us eating in there as long as we weren't too messy and stayed quiet when students came in for help. A guy I knew from math and science class introduced me to his friends and we'd talk during lunch time. Then I brought playing card and we all loved to "gamble" on candy. We'd play Black Jack, BS, and so on. -
Shoulder Surgery
I played on a club called Rage Volleyball. During the end of our season I injured my shoulder. Half a year later my shoulder still hurt and my movements were very limited. We went to get it scanned and the doctor said there was a very minor tear in my shoulder cartilage. We decided to do therapy and rest. Neither helped so I decided to do surgery. When the surgeon went in to stitch up the tear he kept following a tear that went from the front of my shoulder to the back. -
Sophmore Year
Summer's over (sob). But I got to meet new people and a great teacher. Mr. Watt (Watt are you talking about?) is the advisor and head coach of the chess team. I came in during lunch time and met lots of people. I like playing chess but it's hard finding a partner outside of the chess room. I'd play against chess people and sometimes win (if their on a bad day) but most of the time enjoy the game and learn about new strategies.
