Johannes Gutenberg
In 1450 Johannes Gutenburg invented the Printing Press. The first book that was printed in the Press, was a German Poem. Lot's of people, ecspesaly women, went to Johannes to print their books that they wrote. If a kid was wealthy enough, they would go to school and their teachers wrote books, printed, and read the book to the class. Johannes was 1/8 english explorers. -

He then sailed south alone the coast. When he returned to England, like Columbus, he thought he had reached Asia. Cabot's son, Sebastian joined him on his voyage. -

The isthmus of Panama is a narrow strip of land that saperates North America and South America.He was the first explorer or person to reach the west or Pacific side of the Americas. -

Juan Ponce de Leon
He thinks that he founded the Fountain of Youth. He never did. Juan Ponce de Leon travled to the state of Flordia in, 1513. HE was one of eight English explorers.He had sailed with Columbus on his second voyage. later he had helped conquer, Puerto Rico. In 1513, Ponce de Leon set out to find Bimini, but instead he landed in the state of Florida. The Calusa tribe defended their land against the Spanish. Ponce de Leon was wounded and later died. -

Jacques Cartier made many trips around Canada. He was a french explorer. He was an early french explorer. The french people made a lot of riches from trading with the riches from India and China. He explored the St. Lawrence river. The French explorers made lots and lots of gold and silver from fur trades. The french explorers and the Native Americas relied on one another. He was one of eight explorers. -
Henry Hudson
Henry Hudson was the person who founded the Hudson River which is now called, New York. He was 'thrown' off his ship into what is now called The Hudson Bay. When he and his crew reach the Hudson Bay, he thought that their was a pathway to the Pacific Oeacn across the 'New World'. He was thrown with nine other people. Eight men and the nineth was his son.
