Proclamation of 1763
Bannded all settlement west of the Appalachians moutains (having colonist not to go past to protect the Native Americnas land). The goverment decided to do this to not further any more conflict that had happend with the capturing of the British troops. -
The Stamp Act of 1765
Required the colonist to purchase special stamp paper. if they didn't pay it they were tried in vice-admiralty courts. The Act was needed in order to pay off the dept from the French and Indian war. -
The Stamp Act Congress of 1765
A meeting that was held in New York to elect some representives from Britsh colonies. Parliament had passed the Stamp Act, which required the use of specially stamped paper for pretty much all business in the colonies, and was coming into effect November 1. -
The Declaratory Act of 1766
Parliment got rid of the Stamp Act and replaced it with Declaratory. This made sure that Parliment had full rights to make laws. -
The Boston Massacre
There was a fight near the customs house becuase there has been a huge outbreak of the tea protest the more they got closer to the war. They call is the massacre becuase 3 people got killed and some were injured. -
The Boston Tea Party of 1773
Boston rebels acting as though they're Native Americnas, pouring out 18,000 pounds of Tea into the Boston Harbor. They wanted to stop all of those extra taxes and make everyone go against the Native Americans. -

Granted the British East India Company Tea a monopoly on tea sales in the American colonies. Feeling that they were unstable politically. -
First Continental Congress
A convention of delegates from 12 different colonies. To the resond to the right Act of the Boston Tea Party. -
The Quartering Act
The Act had British soldiers house is private houses. This was apart of the Intolerable Act because of the Boston Tea Party. THe people didn't want to pay for the damage of the tea party. -
The Townshend Acts
A year after the Stamp Act they put this implace. the difference between this Act and the Stamp Act is one was a direct tax and the other was indirect. -
The Coercive/Intolerable Acts
George the third was getting very frustrated by the det that the Boston Tea paty put them in so he put this in place. Shuting down the HArbor and putting the Quatering Act in process. -

A pamphlet that was writen anonomously attacking King George. In Paine's opinion he wanted everyone to have their own indeoendence. After the whole situation was over independence was taking seriously. -

Between the Americans and the French. The wars that were going on so that everyone could gain their own independence. -
The Treaty of Paris (1783)
Between the United States and Great Britain, ended the revolutionary war and recognized American independence. More territory going to the East of the US.
