On the 26th April 1978 Stana Katic was born in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. Her father is from Vrlika, and her mother is from the surrounding area of Sinj. She has four brothers and one sister. Stana says: 'My parents are Serbs from Croatia. I call us Dalmatian because that's the part of the planet that we are originally from. I have Serb, Croat and even a handful of Montenegrin family members." -
Graduation
After graduating from West Aurora High School in 1996, Stana studied acting at Chicago's Goodman School of Drama. -
Acting Debut
Stana began her acting debut in the 1999 film "Acid Freaks" playing the role of Annie. -
Stiletto
In 2008 Stana was cast as Raina Mavias in "Stiletto", although this was not her first movie or tv role, this turned out to be her break out role that made her known. -
Castle
In Ausgust 2008 Stana was cast as Detective Kate Beckett in ABC's new show "Castle" -
Sine Timore Productions
In 2008, Stana established her own production company, Sine Timore Productions, which is latin for "Without Fear". -
Quantum of Solace
On 19th November 2008 Quantum of Solace was released in cinemas. Stana Katic portrayed Corrine Veneau in the Bond movie (though she was originally up for the role of Strawberry Fields in the film). -
The Librarian 3: The Curse of the Judas Chalice
On 7th december 2008 Stana played Simone Renoir in the third installment of The Librarian franchise, The Librarian: Curse of the Judas Chalice. -

ATP
The Alternative Travel ProjectIn October of 2010 Castle actors Stana Katic (Beckett) and Seamus Dever (Ryan) formed the Alternative Travel Project. For seven days, the L.A.-based actors chose to find other ways to work than their cars. Whether by bicycling, walking or using public transportation, the duo gave up their beloved vehicles for seven long days and the results were documented in a series of informational and entertaining videos. -

On January 28, 2012, she was a presenter at the 64th Annual Directors Guild of America Awards ceremony. -
PRISM award.
"Kill Shot" Stana and JonStana (along with co star Jon Huertas) were the recipients of the PRISM Award for Performance in a Drama Episode at the 16th Annual PRISM Awards for her portrayal of suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder in the fourth season of castle in the episode "Killshot" (4x09). Stana was unable to attend the event but co stars Jon Huertas, Seamus Dever, and Susan Sullivan. -
CBGB
Stana is currently filming CBGB which is set to air in 2013. Stana is cast as Genya Ravan in the upcoming film that looks at the New York City punk-rock scene and the venerable nightclub, CBGB.
