Also, PL 108-446 modifies the IEP process that affects school discipline, due process, and evaluation criteria for children with special needs.

The Americans with Disabilities Act mandate a special education for preschoolers with disabilities and incentives for providing early intervention services to infants and toddlers (Gargiulo et al., 2018).

This event introduced important legislation that eliminated inappropriate labels that have a negative effect on children with disabilities. The appropriate term is "intellectual disability." The first person usage is " a child with a intellectual disability."
