    Is a law to protect those that have a disabilities in programs and activities and receives financial federal assistance

    Those students that qualify for special education must have an IEP to help establish the child's explicit needs in the classroom.

    This law ensures that children with disabilities are receiving free public schooling that is appropriate to meet that child's needs.
