Vasco Nunez de Balboa
Balboa exsplored the Golden cost of Africa in 1481. King John II sent him to sail around the tip of Africa in 1486. August 1487 he did sail around Arica.

Sailed around cape of good hope by Africa to get to india. He traded many good through India untill the people started to tax them. Many of his men died on the trips from lack of vitamin C.

Was the first spanish exsplorer to step foot on Florida. He established a settlement in Puerto Rico. Also he discovered the Gulf stream and the Atlantic Ocean.

Christopher Columbus
Christopher Columbus was born in 1451 in Italy. Cloumbus lived by the meditrranean sea were he learned how to sail at the age of 14. Columbus later became a map maker and wanted to exsplore the west but had little resources. On August 2, 1492 he did sail to the west to descover new lands.

Ferdinand Magellan
Set sail to south America on his way he named the Pacific Ocean. He arived in Guam, a island that is in the Pacific. they set sail to the Philippines but only 15 out of 250 men made it.

Hernan Cortes
Cortes wanted to sail to Mexico from Cuba. In 1920 he reached Mexico and fought with the current people the Aztecs. The Aztecs finally drove them out after a year and Cortes had to return to Cuba.
