Cortes' First Voyage

Cortes sailed to the new world in search of gold. He conqured the Aztecs in Mexico and brought back tons of gold.

Pineda's Voyage

Pineda to the New World to map the coast for further exploration. this is important because the Spanish couldn't have explored Texas and suirronding areas.

De Vaca's Start Day

The leader of the group was Narvez. The porpuse was to verify Pineda's map.

De Vaca Discovers Texas

They crew was washed upon the Texas coast after sailing out of Florida in makeshift boats because of indian problems.

Fray Marcus' and Estabons Expidition

The purpose of the expidition was to explore north of Mexico city with about 300 indians and Estabon as a guide.

Moscoso's Expidetion

The purpose of this expidetion was to search for more gold. Moscoso and De Sotp discovered the Mississippi river.The leader was De Soto buthe died in the Mississippi river.

Coronado's Expedition

This expidetion was about riches. Coronado was after the cities of Cibolaa but when he found out they were adobe villages, he went after Quivera which also turned out to be less than satisfactory. this expidetion was important because Coronado explored much of the west as well as palo duro and the grand canyon.
