3/5 compromise
this compromise stated that slaves counted as 3/5 of a person. this was because the south wanted to count slaves to be included in the population. they wanted that because they would get more representatives. the north did not agree with that because it was unfair. -

this act stated that northerners were to return any runaway slave to their owner. if you didnt you would be charged. -

13 amendement
it states that slavery is officially abolished and is still prohibit. -
14 amendments
this amendment says that anybody born in the us has civil rights including the black.
