    Simon Bolivar was born July 24, 1783. He was born in Caracas Venezuela. His parents were very wealthy, but they ended up dying while Simon was still a boy. His dad died when he was 2, and his mother died when he was 9.

    Simon was then orphaned until he became fifteen. After that his grandfather took him in, and made sure that Simon got the best education in Spain by hiring a private tutor. Later on, Simon’s tutor had to flee the country because he was suspected to be wanting to overthrow Spain’s colonial rule.

    When simon turned age 18, he fell in love with a 17 year old girl named Teresa del Toro. Both families agreed that they should delay the wedding for at least one year. ONce they got married in 1802, Simon took his wife back to one of his family’s plantations.

    Later on Simon met up with his old tutor, the two of them ended up traveling to rome with each other. In 1805, Bolivar, and his old tutor traveled to Monte Sacro, this place is associated in Roman history with freedom from oppression. They both traveled to Paris after that, and the Simon sailed back to America, and arrived to his home at 1807.

    In 1808 Simon got involved with the war. He then turned into a general, and he was one of South America's best generals. He won independence for Bolivia, Panamá, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, and Venezuela. In 8026 Simon left the war because he thought he was getting too old, and to weak.

    On February 28, 1813, Correa met Bolivar on the fields outside of the town of Cucuta. Cucuta is located in Columbia. It is also a capital.

    Simon Bolivar died on December 17, 1830, in Santa Marta, Columbia. He had died because of arsenic poisoning. Arsenic poisoning is a high level of Arsenic in the body. Bolivar slowly poisoned himself, unintentionally.
