    I once heard of a story where a 15 year old girl who was a very good student, friend and daughter made a poor decision to drink with her friends one day. But one of the friends ended up posting a picture of her and them drinking. The girl and her friends may not of thought of the consequences at the time but it caught up with the. They weren't thinking that, "Everything you do in the present affects your future" (Health Unit 1 page 7).

    She could not find a job and did not get any offers from college because she began to change. "...we must recognize this way that our brains will trip us up, and be pre-pared to work around it" (Health Unit 1 page 8). She shut down instead of trying to work around the problem and make up for her mistakes. "Since it is still impossible to go back in time to undo regrets, it is best to think of all the possible results of our actions before we do them" (Health Uniy 1 page 8).
