1900 shoes were usually solid colors, mostly black, white, grey or brown. They had a small heel and laced up in the front. -
1910
10 years later, the shoes still had a heel they showed more of the top of your foot. Straps with buckles were popular & more variety of colors were becoming a trend. -
1930s
A higher heel was worn more with stockings or socks, the front usually had a wide flap & it was more classy to wear a higher heel.
