The flood happened from April to October of 1993. It covered over 745 miles in length and 435 in width of Jefferson City land, covering over 320,000 square miles. The flood happened from the Missouri river. -

Once the flood started to rush through and take out everything people started to leave. Before evryone knew there was nobody in Jefferson City, it was abandoned. -
