Frederik IV and August II were forced out of the alliance in 1700 and 1706 and then rejoned in 1709 and Brittan joined in 1717. -
Czar Alexander II Emancipates the Serfs
this even was called "The Peasant Reform of 1861". In 1861 Emancipation Manifesto gave over twenty-three million people received their liberty. Serfs were granted the full rights of free citizens, right to marry without consent, and own their own land and business -
The Assassination of Alexander II
the family was captured by the Bolsheviks. the Bolsheviks brought the family into a room and the faimly thought they were getting their picture taken. then guards came in and opened fire. Nicholas was the first to die, and the daughters survived the first round of bullets because of they wore over 1.3 kilograms of diamonds and precious gems sewn into their clothing that protected them from bullets. once they where dead, they weher burried for years. -
Czar Nicholas II abdicates the Russian throne
Nichola Wasn't trained to be czar and didn’t want to be the czar, and because of that, in 1914, he led the country into another losing war. March 1917 army garrison at Petrograd went on strike with workers for socialist reforms and Nicholas was forced to abdicate. -
The Russo-Japanese War
This even was called "the first great war of the 20th century". It was mostly about some major threats of operations were Southern Manchuria, area around the Liaodong Peninsula and Mukden, seas around Korea, Japan, and the Yellow Sea. Russia wanted a warm water port and Japan chose war to gain dominance in Korea so Japanese Navy attacked the Russian fleet Port Arthur in 1904 which led to them winning the war. -
The Revolution of 1905
Workers, peasants, and military people went on strike and it led to the constitutional monarchy, State Duma of the Russian Empire, multi-party system, and the Russian Constitution of 1906. -
Bloody Sunday
this event took place in St. Petersburg when people started to protest for freedom of speech and the right to vote. Nicholas didnt like that so he had soilders open fire on the protesters. -
World War I
At masurian Lakes, Military disaaters weakened the Russian Army, the Romanov's rule for over 300 years, was taken over by Kerensky and the Provisional Government, and the Bolsheviks where led by Lenin who took power in major cities in russia in 1917. Nicholas II want ed to lead his army so he left his wife Alexandra in control of the cities, then the family friend, Rasputin, said that Russia would loose the war. -
The March Revolution
Series of unorganized protests and rebellions in the states of the German Confederation where made and they showed the popular want for political freedom, liberal state polices, democracy, nationalism, and freedom from censorship. The middle class were committed to liberal principles and - the two sides spit and most went into exile. -
The Decembrist Revolt
this even took place in Senate Square in St. Petersburg in Imperial Russia and about 3000 soldiers went to protect against Nicholas I.After revolt, Senate Square was renamed Decembrist Square. Later in 2008 then name was changed bac to the Decembrist Square. people swore they wouldn’t align with the new czar but to Constantine and the Constitution and Prince Trubetskoy was the main supporter in the protest but never showed up. Then rebels appointed Prince Eugene Obolens new leader.
