About 3,000 soldiers protect again Nicholas I. It was a stand-off between the 3,000 rebels, and 9,000 loyal troops, and Nicholas ordered open fire on the rebels who ran to stay alive. A few tried to regroup but were targeted and killed. -

Workers where marching to the Winter Palace to present a petition to Tsar Nicholas II and were shot at by the soldiers. Many people died. -

Russia was not ready for World War 1, only 1 out of 3 soldiers had a gun, which led to enormous casualties. The factories couldn't keep up wiht the war demands and Russia suffered bad. -
The March Revolution
Workers wanted to get paid more to buy food, but were denied. They went on strikes, and started riots, and Nicholas II orders them to be put down. That only made things worse, and then the Duma took things in their own hands. -
