    The Montagues crash the Capulet's masked party. Romeo sees Juliet and it is love at first sight. Till Tybalt threatens to kill Romeo when he recognizes his voice.

    Lady Capulet comes into Juliet's room and thinks that she is crying over the death of Tybalt. She says that crying a little shows her love, but crying a lot makes her seem stupid.

    Capulet and Lady Capulet come to tell Juliet the joyful news about her marrying Paris. Juliet thanks them, but says that she would rather commit suicide than to marry him. Capulet threatens to disown Juliet and not care for her financially.

    After spending the night together, Romeo and Juliet part ways. Romeo finds his way to Mantua, as Juliet stays behind to mourn her for her husband's banishment.
