    The Pig War between Serbia and Austria-Hungary begins. Serbia improves cooperation with France Britain and Bulgaria and Austria-Hungary imposes an economic blocade on Serbia.

    Archduke Franz Fredinand of Austria was assassinated. The first attemt was made by Nedjelko Cabrinovic who threw a bomb into the Archdukes' open top car. The bomb rolled off the back injuring a guard. The actual assassination happened later that day, on the way to visit the injured guard. A 19 year old Serban named Gavrilo Princip was loitering and saw an oppurtunity and shot both Firdinand and his wife. This asassination was the main event that brought on World War One.

    A typhus epidemic begins in Serbia killing 150,000 in one year. The total deaths bring the population down by 10% just in time for Austria-Hungary to begin their third invasion. This made the Serbian resistance weak.

    The Serbian Genocide Begins when the Axis powers make Serbia (then Yugoslavia) into a puppet state. They then implimented genocidal policies on its Serb, Jew and Romani people. The result of this was the death of between 1,500,000 and 1,700,000 Serbian people.
